2016 Hiking in China • Southwest Guizhou
The Southwest Guizhou Xingyi Wanfenglin International Walking Hikng Event has begun recruiting of participants and guests. Local foreigners in Guiyang are in high demand and are invited to participate in the event as guests.
Xingyi is beautiful in the autumn, and this is the third annual hiking expedition. The
Xingyi Wanfeng Lin is a famous made famous by geographer and traveler Xu Xiake during the Ming Dynasty. His poem referenced “Scenic areas within the mountains, pastoral landscapes, rivers, villages, caves, all intertwined, and beautiful.
The event is scheduled for November 4th to 6th and is expected to have five to six hundred participants. The cost is 800 yuan per person and foreign guests are free to participate at no charge. Guiyang Private Movies
A new movie house has opened that caters to private groups. It has a large variety of movies available, including new releases. There are five private rooms with screens, couches, and even mattresses. An ideal place for a private party of two to twelve. It is in the Huaguoyuan Center, right above the public cinema on the 32nd floor.

World’s Largest Telescope Completed in Southwest China’s Guizhou Province

World’s Largest Radio Telescope Nears Completion, And It’s Going To Find ALIENS

The world’s largest radio telescope is almost finished – and it’s going to try to make contact with extra-terrestrial life.
This fascinating video and stunning photos show how close the 500m wide Aperture Spherical Telescope, or “FAST”, is to completion.
The structure, in China, will be operational by September and key components have already been tested.
Spanning 1,640ft in diameter, the telescope is a £125 million initiative that has been under construction since 2011 in Pingtang County in China’s Guizhou Province.
The structure is being fitted with 4,500 shiny panels following a successful dry run of its hardware last November.
FAST is three miles away from the nearest inhabited town, meaning it will have the perfect radio silence needed to listen to listen to the skies above.
Officials moved some 9,000 from the region to make way for the radio telescope, which will be the biggest of its kind.

My friend Jenny just opened a popular restaurant on a popular corner in Guiyang. The coagulated pig blood is a delicacy in Guiyang, as are the intestines of the pig. These are combined with noodles and broth to make a very popular noodle soup. Jiang is a famous name and a popular bowl of noodles known in Guiyang. This is a franchise situation. I think Jenny has a winner.

In Xintian Zhai in the Northeast of Guiyang a new golf course has opened. It is a beautiful place, with many new homes. The clubhouse and driving range are top notch and the course is professionally designed.

Jinxiu Project in Qinzhen, May 18
“Beautiful Things” project last Saturday featured a lot of minority people’s fashion. The styles are modern and the cloth was local. The venue was the “Time Town” which is a new/old city. The Time Town is a new city that has been build with old European styles to simulate an old city. It has a lot of art, restaurants, and statues. It also features a very large park area and can handle a lot of people.
Speakers at the event featured designers from around the country, including Beijing, as well as the President of Guizhou Normal University.
